  • Castanea - Compreensão da resistência de Castanea sp a Phytophthora cinnamomi, agente causal da doença da tinta do castanheiro.
  • Pinus - Identificação de genes candidatos de resistência, em espécies do género Pinus, ao nemátode da madeira de pinheiro (Bursaphelenchus xylophilus) agente causal da doença da murchidão do pinheiro.
  • Arbutus - Estudo da estrutura genética de populações de medronheiro em Portugal (Arbutus unedo), através de marcadores de microssatélites nucleares e de cloroplasto. Compreensão do sistema de cruzamento e da biologia reprodutiva da espécie.

  • Castanea - Understanding resistance of Castanea sp to Phytophthora cinnamomi, the causal agent of ink disease in chestnut.
  • Pinus - Identification of candidate genes of resistance in Pinus species to the nematode Bursaphelenchus xylophilus, causal agent of Pine Wilt Disease.
  • Arbutus - Study of genetic structure of strawberry tree populations (Arbutus unedo) in Portugal, by nuclear and chloroplast microsatelites. Understanding the matting system and the biology of reproduction of the species.
